Tree Pruning

Regular pruning of your trees encourages healthier and more attractive–and safer–trees. The International Society of Arboriculture recommends pruning to

  • reduce the likelihood of branch failure;
  • provide clearance for pedestrians, structures, and vehicles;
  • reduce shade and wind resistance;
  • maintain health;
  • influence flower or fruit production; and
  • improve view or aesthetics.*

Pruning your trees throughout their lifetime can allow them to live longer and look better. Maintaining tree health and safety is an important part of growing and owning trees.
